Knowledge is power and the one of the greatest cause of poverty or lack is because of Ignorance or lack of knowledge about money, finance and investment .
Most people go to school from primary to university without much knowledge on money, how to make it ,manage it and multiple it . That is why financial literacy is very important in how we make, manage and multiple our money in our daily activities including our business, relationship and even in our religious life.

Money is important but without enough knowledge about it, we waste and mismanage it .

The discipline of wealth creation

Ebo Yawson writes

The discipline of wealth creation.

Success is predictable, so is wealth creation, life is predictable. Things always don’t sometimes happen, we can sometimes predict the outcome of an event from it beginning.
Most rich people created wealth using principles, and laws that most people are not willing to observe and obey, simple because they think it difficult, becoming rich or wealthy don’t happen overnight. It takes the boldness and courage to be discipline to create, manage and grow wealth. The ability to delay gratification for a better tomorrow is a force to use in wealth creation.

Here are 5 tips to use in disciplining our self towards wealth creation.

  1. See the future from today with your mind. (mental picture of the good future)
Everything good and bad take it genesis from the mind. The mind is the pivot of creation. One need to see the future from today by having the hope and believe that saving and investing his or her money today will lead him or her to have a good and a better tomorrow. Without a good mental image of what you want to be financial ,you can’t discipline yourself to create wealth.
The future image will bring the willing and the desire to create that future.
  2. Start investing today don’t start tomorrow.
Have you had the power of compound interest, it one of the greatest invention, but this principle of compound interest only becomes important when you put into practice for a long period. One don’t need One trillion to start investing, one need to start with the little that you have in your hand now, and it will grow to become great, it also called the seed principle, every big tree you see today was once a seed or a little tree, wealth building takes a long time, so why not start today, and that start today requires consistency in savings, investment and reinvestment, it not easy, but it takes discipline to start, and it good to start today, we only have one-day in a year, and that day is today, tomorrow will never come and yesterday is gone and will not come again.
Start now with a little percentage of your money and make it a habit .
  3. Budgeting.
Most people thinks rich people are wicked, and stingy. But that is not so, most rich people are the real givers of this world. Wealth is built with a plan, and if you don’t plan the use of your money someone will misuse it for you,
Budgeting your money and sticking to the budget plan is one of the most amazing methods rich and wealth people used in creating wealth. I believe in 70,10,10,10 principles of budgeting (Will debilitate more on that in our next article)

Most people look at a budget as a tool for deprivation. But at its core, a budget is simply a tool for telling your money where to go so, it’s used as efficiently as possible. When you use a budget to eliminate financial waste, you have more money to spend and invest for the future. You will never spend more than you make so eventually, you’ll have the rich life you want.

  1. Pay yourself second after Giving to God or charity.
Most people think let me pay first my debt first before, I will use what is left, but it doesn’t work that way, paying yourself is putting money aside to work for you first before you pay your debt,
You can use automatic deduction from your bank to investment account.
    (more on this soon) .
  2. Live on less than you make. Or live below your means.(delay gratification)
Saving, and investing money requires delaying Your enjoyment today For the future. And it takes discipline to be able to do that . Delay gratification not eating your egg when you have it, but hatching it to have more hens to lay more eggs for you.

It takes discipline to be wealthy, wealth is not created in a day but, wealth is created by application of financial principles and laws on daily bases, There’re no secrets to wealth creation, but principles and laws that only a few people (rich 0.1% people) are willing to discipline themselves to obey, and observe.

Let join those doing it by becoming discipline also to create wealth. Because it possible.

5 reasons why you should be wealthy as a Christian

Ebo Yawson writes

5 reasons why you should be wealthy as a Christian.

Someone asked me recently that as a Christian is it Godly to be rich and wealth. I showed him this bible quote :
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich” (2 Cor. 8:9).

Richness and wealth is a choice in the body of Christ Jesus as a Christian I told him.
You can be poor and go to heaven and you can be rich and also go to heaven. The same is hell fire, there are poor and rich people who are there. To have Enough money to serve God is one of the best choice you can make as a Christian and to be poor and serve God has it side effect.
Wealth, according to the Bible, is like fire, good but dangerous.
There are positives and negatives side to either side (wealth and poverty) in the kingdom business. Have you considered Job in the Bible and how he handed wealth and poverty and still revered God.
But today we decided to know 5 reasons why Christians need to be rich and wealthy .

  1. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich” (2 Cor. 8:9).

We serve a man who became poor (note he became poor meaning he was rich somewhere) so that we will become rich. So we have been given a mandate to be rich in Christ. The richness is not only in spiritual but in also both physical and material things .

Our greatest goal in life is not to be rich as children of God but to seek him first the kingdom of God and it rightousness and all other things shall be added unto it. Matthew 6:33.
So in our pursuit of Christ Jesus and his rightousness all other things including richness or wealth will be added to it. A man can be rich and be one of God’s people. Abraham was a rich man and Abraham is in heaven.

  1. We need wealth as Christians to activate the greatest commission Given to us by Christ Jesus. Matthew 28:18-20.

The gospel of Christ Jesus is huge, big and heavy. It needs great money, richness and wealth to carry it to the world . We need to feed those who have not heard about the gospel of Jesus Christ, we need to set example for the ungodly to know about Christ Jesus, we need to travel to places where the word of God is not going to, we need to print bibles and give it out freely to people who can’t buy it, we need to help orphanage homes and go to prisons to possess them with Christ Jesus.
All this can not be done without wealth or money. One of the main limitations to the great commission of Christ Jesus is money. Most people are not actively involved in the commission work because of this commidity called money. Jesus Christ was able to spread the word because he had people who supported him financially . We need strong financial wealth to spread the word of God to the outermost part of this world who don’t know Christ Jesus.

  1. To become the head and not the tail of this world.
Is not easy to be a leader in every field of life. Becoming the head of a nation or the super power of a world like ours requires some strong financial backing.
How can we possess our possessions if we don’t have the means to possess it. We need to help in shaping our world with Christian values and systems, with Christian principles and show our Christ likeness in our various activities as Christians and a child of God and do that also requires enough wealth and money.
    Deuteronomy 28:13 .
The LORD your God will make you the leader among the nations and not a follower; you will always prosper and never fail if you obey faithfully all his commands that I am giving you today.

Becoming a head is a great responsibility and we need wealth as Christians to take responsibility of feeding the poor, homing the homeless and caring for the fatherless.
We should be first to show love to those who are in need, we should be first to care for those in trouble because our mirror which is Christ Jesus showed us the way .He love the unloved, he care for the uncared and he feed the hungry.
We can also do same when we have the means to do that.

  1. We were commanded to be fruitful. Without
money, our ability to bear kingdom fruit is min-imal. (See Luke 13:6-9; John 15:1-7.)
  2. To show the world the Godly stewardship in handling the possessions of our father.

Our father is the creator of all things .Haggai 2:7-9, we need to possess this wealth created by our father by managing it well for the good of our next generation .
proverbs 13:22:
Good people will have wealth to leave to their grandchildren, but the wealth of sinners will go to the righteous.

Wealth should not be our greatest goal in life as Christians but we need to have it to take our rightful place on this earth by our father who is in heaven.

God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people.
This gives us heaven’s backing to be prosperous
for His glory. (See Psalm 35:27.).

You can be rich and rightous. Abraham was rich and righteous.

10 Godly financial money principles part 2

Ebo Yawson writes
10 Godly financial money principles.
Part 2.

God and money are two masters, but God is the creator of money, so that should tell you one has power over another. So the creator of everything has a menu about how he created it, how to create and make more of it, and even how to destory it.
The same apply to money, bible says in
Haggai 2:8 The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the LORD of hosts.

Psalm 50:10
“For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills .
So, everything on this earth belongs to God who is the creator of it including the money you have, so the owner of the money you have will definitely take account about it. ( we are just Steward) of everything.

  1. The principle of savings and investment.
I call it the ant 🐜 principle.
One of the smallest animal in the world is the ant, and it also one of the wisest animal in the world. The ant is wise because of it ways and wisdom of applying the knowledge of savings and investment in it every day activities, it is considered wise because it sees danger and prepares for it, it stores up it food in the summer, and have enough food in winter.

There are two major weather seasons in Africa
Dry and raining season.
The same apply to man, there are times when you will have enough money on you and there are times when money will be scares , but if you are going to struggle or enjoy in your dry season it depends on what you did in the raining season when you had enough money .

That is why the 🐜 ant principle is good enough in it application in managing our finances.

Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
Money is a commodity if saved and invested wisely, it usage will be of good importance to you. We need to save and invest for the future
Because we don’t know what tomorrow holds for us, Godly investment will bring in Godly success .
Anything can happen to us anytime and anyday.
It up to us to see the need in Proverbs 27:12 The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

So the refuge means to save and invest when you have and don’t be a fool but consuming all that you get because danger can come anytime.

Ecclesiastes 11:1
Invest your money in foreign trade, and one of these days you will make a profit.
Invest and make profit because you will definitely will. Save money like the ant and the money saved can be used in the dry season of your life.

  1. The principle of Planning.
“A journey without a plan is not worth taking”.
    Ebo Yawson.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
    Alan Lakein
We have dreams, aspirations and visions of our desires future, but we only dream without putting a plan to it achievement,

What is planning ? Planning is usually interpreted as a process to develop a strategy to achieve desired [] objectives to solve problems, and to facilitate action” (Mitchell 2002, 6).

The achievement of Having a good Godly financial money success depends on, how you plan the use of you money today, how you budget your money,

Luke 14:28-30 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first, and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying ‘This man began to build and was not able to finis”?”

The Bible which is the word of God tells us that it foolishness to start without planning,
Planning our finance and the use of our money will give us power and control over what we use our financial resources for, how to allocate percentage to it use.

Savings is keeping money for a particular purpose in the future . Investment is letting your money work for you to get profit on it .
But one need a plan to start savings and investment. Planned saving and wise investment will ensure effective and efficient use of our money and financial resources.

10 Godly financial money principles

Ebo Yawson writes
10 Godly financial money principles.
07/02/2020
Part One

Money is the most talked about topic Jesus Christ spoke about most when He came to this earth. He spoke more about money than any other thing because he saw, and he knew the important of this thing called money in our lives. Jesus talked more about money than he did Heaven and Hell combined. Eleven of the 39 parables He tells are about finances. And the Holy Bible is loaded with a lot of Quotations about money, it management, it creation, it multiplication,it addition and even how you can lose it.

There are so many Godly financial money principles that we can use it to create, manage, add and multiply our money in the Bible ,which when used it will enable us to have a firm authority over money for us to have more. Here are 10 of those principles.

  1. The principle of control.
    In Matthew 6 :24
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

There are only two options with money: either it serves you or you serve it.
The power to control money or it’s controlling us is a determining factor on how to have, and it uses. The Good book of the Bible says we can’t serve two masters. If money is our master, our lives will show its fruits: pride, self-centeredness, dis-honesty, greed, envy, and phoniness. But that should not be the case money should rather serve us. When we make God and Christ Jesus Christ the master of our life, and controller of our lives we will have money and enough to use it for it purpose.
Matthew 6:33 :Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things.

  1. Stewardship.
I have not seen anyone coming to this earth with money in his or her hand before. We came with nothing and we will leave with nothing. That is why stewardship is a major biblical money principles. Stewardship is all that we have, wish to have and will have we are just caretakers or managers of it, we are not the real owners, and we will give account to it use and how we managed it.

In Genesis 2:15
Then the LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and guard it.

So we were placed on this earth to be a guard, meaning the owner of the Garden will ask us how we use the Garden.
The same principle of stewardship apply to the money in our hand, those financial resources was given to us to manage it for it effective usage because a time will come we will give account to it usage ,it benefits to to society society and the others.

All that we have is for God .

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
